Currently, we do not have the staff available to work individually with special needs students. We can meet with parents on a case-by-case basis and make a mutual decision about whether a student would be well-served at Aletheia United Academy. Aletheia United Academy is a “personal-device-free” campus for students. We do not allow students to bring phones, tablets, or computers to class, and we do not design our lessons around technology during our on campus days. One of the most important ingredients in the success of the hybrid model is an available parent who can assist and properly work with their student at home. For a family in which both parents work outside the home, or a single parent who must work on a full-time basis, a more traditional school is often a better choice. We are happy to review each situation on a case-by-case basis to see if Aletheia is a good fit for your family.

No. Aletheia United Academy is not a homeschool co-op. Homeschool co-ops rely on the homeschooling families to teach, volunteer, serve on campus regularly. Aletheia is designed to hire teachers and staff to teach specific subjects in their professional field of study. Some teachers are parents of Aletheia students, but that is an exception not the rule. Parent volunteers are needed to make the hybrid model a success, but it is not a requirement to serve at the academy.
