Mission, Vision, & Philosophy

OUR MISSION

Aletheia United Academy is a Christian hybrid learning community that partners with families to provide a rigorous education with a biblical worldview in the classical tradition. We seek to foster scholarly accountability and discipline within a caring and supportive environment, equipping students as disciples of Christ to glorify God and represent His kingdom in the world.

OUR VISION

Aletheia United Academy is committed to the truth, discipline, and values of the gospel of Jesus Christ as we join together with families to offer students the ability to achieve academic excellence from a biblical worldview. We seek to integrate the home and the classroom by offering scholarly accountability to assist parents in their teaching role and equip students for academic success. Aletheia United Academy will pursue Christ-centered community, fulfilling the great commission by making disciples who aspire to love and glorify God in all that we say and do.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Aletheia United Academy believes the mission and purpose of a disciple—including a scholar—is to love God and love our neighbor. True education is literally impossible without such a transcendent goal and purpose. The Bible teaches us that all knowledge comes from God, and therefore, all knowledge has unity. At Aletheia United Academy, we teach all subjects as part of an integrated whole, with the Scriptures at the center. We are both traditional and classical—learning from the great literature of our Christian heritage, combined with an emphasis on the basics of mathematics, science, foreign-language and elective courses which focus on traditional academic areas and the common arts to prepare students for success at the collegiate level and in the workforce. Students are equipped to know and love the truth and utilize that knowledge to glorify God in all things.

A Collaborative Effort

A Biblical Worldview

The framework of our biblical worldview at the academy is found in the Holy Bible. We believe all humans were CREATED by God and in His image. Because Adam and Eve, the original humans, chose to sin against their Creator, the world as we know it exists in a FALLEN state, and all humans are full of all manner of evil and destructive desires. Yet, in spite of our evil hearts, God chose to REDEEM us, through His great love, by sending His son, Jesus, to take the punishment we deserve upon Himself. Because he was without sin and died a sacrificial death on our behalf, we can live RESTORED and bring the good news to others. This framework, found in the Bible, is the standard by which we measure and interact with all philosophies, both contemporary and historical.
