About Greg Lohr

Greg brings a lifetime of wisdom, professional excellence, and faithful service to his role at Aletheia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1987 and later completed his M.B.A. in Finance at The College of William & Mary in 1993. That same year, Greg founded Lohr & Company, an investment management firm through which he has faithfully stewarded resources and served others with integrity for decades.

Alongside his professional career, Greg has been deeply invested in the life of the Church. He has been a member of Portico Church since 2007, serving as both a deacon and teacher. His heart for discipleship and theological formation led to his involvement with Aletheia, where he was drawn in through teaching the New City Catechism and witnessing the spiritual fruit being cultivated in the lives of students. This work reflects his passion for grounding young people in sound doctrine and a vibrant, lived faith.

At the center of Greg’s life is his love for family and community. He and his wife delight in being together, refreshing and encouraging others, and staying actively involved in the lives of their children and grandchildren. Their shared hospitality and presence reflect a quiet faithfulness rooted in service and love.

Greg’s life and teaching are shaped by Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This passage captures his steady reliance on God’s guidance and his desire to walk faithfully wherever the Lord leads.
