Logic Science Teacher
Jennifer brings both scholarly depth and thoughtful humility to her work as an educator at Aletheia. She holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Psychology with emphases in Gifted Education and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia, along with a Master of Education in Gifted Education from Drury University. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Middle School Mathematics Education from Evangel University. Jennifer also maintains active teaching licenses in both Virginia and Missouri in Elementary Education and Middle School Mathematics, reflecting her long-standing commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has collaborated closely with teachers and educational leaders to design curricula and develop effective instructional plans. This work has given her a unique perspective on how disciplines connect, overlap, and reinforce one another, allowing her to see education not as isolated subjects, but as an integrated pursuit of understanding. Her strength lies in helping learners grasp big ideas, develop transferable understanding, and engage meaningfully with content through problem-solving and discipline-based frameworks.
Jennifer was drawn to Aletheia primarily by its community and hybrid model, rather than a single educational philosophy. She does not subscribe to a single method of education; instead, she approaches teaching through a flexible, student-centered framework that honors each learner’s God-given strengths while intentionally supporting growth in areas of struggle. While her philosophy is distinct, she values the richness and depth of both the Classical and Charlotte Mason approaches and appreciates where they naturally intersect with her vision for meaningful learning.
Outside the classroom, Jennifer finds joy in the created world. She loves hiking and gardening and has spent the last five years cultivating a perennial food hedge in her backyard. Baking is her love language, often used to care for and connect with others. Intellectually, she has a deep passion for apologetics and worldview studies and is always delighted to find someone willing to dive into thoughtful, rigorous conversation about faith and reason.
Jennifer believes that the entirety of God’s Word has faithfully spoken into every season of her life. Each role, challenge, and calling has been met with timely truth from Scripture, reminding her that the living Word of God continues to speak personally and powerfully to His people.
