Grammar and Rhetoric Chemistry
Jordan A. Pritchard loves helping students explore the wonders of the natural world through the study of science. She teaches chemistry and sixth-grade physical science at Aletheia, bringing together her scientific background, teaching experience, and commitment to a biblical worldview.
Jordan earned her Bachelor of Science in Geology from Virginia Tech in 2020 and her Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education, specializing in science, from Liberty University in 2025. While at Virginia Tech, she participated in undergraduate research projects in the geosciences department and founded a club where students and professors could discuss creation science topics. She later taught at a private Christian school from 2021 to 2022 and substitute taught at a similar school from 2024 to 2025.
Jordan was drawn to Aletheia’s commitment to biblical worldview education and its hybrid model, which values the essential role parents play in educating their children at home while partnering with knowledgeable teachers in specific subjects. She appreciates an approach to science that encourages careful observation, thoughtful investigation, and a deeper appreciation for the world God has made.
Outside the classroom, Jordan enjoys writing, reading, drumming, gardening, horseback riding, and rock hunting. Much of her joy also comes from time with her family: her husband, Ben, an engineer and rocket scientist; their daughter, Gemma, who is four and a dinosaur enthusiast; their one-year-old son, Owen; and Max, their playful Australian Shepherd.
John 15:1–13 is especially meaningful to Jordan because it reminds her that Jesus is the true vine and the source of life. She finds great comfort in Christ’s invitation to abide in His love, and she seeks to live out that truth by loving others faithfully and helping students grow in both knowledge and faith.
