Art Teacher
Moriah brings imagination, skill, and a deep sense of purpose to her work as an artist and educator. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the School of Media Arts and Design, with a minor in Visual Arts and a concentration in painting. Her formal training laid the groundwork for a career devoted to visual storytelling, craftsmanship, and creative exploration.
For nine years, Moriah worked as a graphic designer for a custom apparel company, honing her eye for design and practical application. Today, she works as a freelance artist, creating graphics, illustrations, and book covers for emerging authors, while also selling prints of her original painted artwork. Her creative portfolio reflects both technical excellence and artistic wonder and can be found at moriahhuang.com.
As an art teacher, Moriah is passionate about making art both joyful and meaningful. She believes creativity is built one block at a time—starting with simple skills and steadily growing toward more complex techniques that students can carry into every area of life, not just the arts. She views creativity as a reflection of God Himself, the greatest Artist of all, and teaches that when we create beauty, we are ultimately worshiping the Creator. Aletheia’s Christ-centered approach to learning deeply resonates with her belief that art, like all education, finds its truest purpose in God.
Outside the classroom, Moriah enjoys writing fantasy stories, taking long walks in new and adventurous places with her dog, and singing alongside her husband, Jon. These rhythms of creativity, exploration, and shared joy continue to shape her life and work.
Moriah is especially encouraged by Psalm 27:13–14, which reminds her that God’s goodness is not distant or delayed but present “in the land of the living.” This truth anchors her in hope and patience, trusting that as we wait on the Lord, we will experience His goodness in the here and now.
